Kinetics of pulsed luminescence ZnWO4 crystals

Abstract

Kinetic characteristics of luminescence are investigated in zinc tungstate. It is shown that the excitation quanta with energy of 4.66 eV and 3.68 eV leads to the initiation of the luminescence with decay time 18 ms and 26 ms, respectively.The difference decay kinetics explained by the fact that photons with energies less than and greater than the band gap are initiated different excitation processes.
