Abstract

The article investigates the flow pattern of the rotating cylinder in the air stream. The authors carried out work to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of the rotating cylinder. The simulation of the flow pattern of the investigated cylinder. In the simulation calculated the aerodynamic characteristics of the rotating cylinder in the software package Ansys fluent. Comparison of experimental results and numerical solutions for rotating cylinder gave a good coincidence, the error does not exceed 3–5 %.
