Power quality control

Abstract

The paper gives the basic concept of the quality of electric power and the main indicators of quality of electricity. Briefly considered existing standards for quality control of electric power which include Interstate standard used in Kazakhstan. The article gives information about the main indicators of power quality corresponding to interstate standards. The main differences between the old and new standards are considered. The various measuring devices are implemented to determine these parameters. The article shows the block diagram of the measurement of the quality of electricity, perform basic measurements of power quality, which include: interference detection and evaluation; registration of measured numerical characteristics for processing and display of results; evaluation of the measured values of the power quality (PQ) for compliance with the requirements; determining the source of the interference; conducting commercial payments between the supplier and consumer of electricity.
